BUSINESS BOOT CAMP
October 2009

If the economic downturn has you dreaming of running your own business then a visit to the firm’s Business Boot Camp Seminar on Thursday 12th November will provide all the inspiration you require to take the plunge.

Kicking off at 6.00pm, the seminar will take place in the firm’s Glasgow office, at 53 Bothwell Street. Keynote speakers will include a business accountant, a banking guru, a local commercial property surveyor, a web expert, HR specialist, life-coach and PR consultant, as well as business lawyer Lucy Gannon from Maxwell MacLaurin.

Following brief introductions from each speaker, guests will have the opportunity to meet with the speakers one-to-one and seek specific advice on business issues.

Commenting on the event Lucy said, “Anyone thinking of setting up a business should seek as much advice as possible from the outset and our panel of experts are on hand to provide that advice.

For example, partners in business often overlook the fundamental question of how their business will be run. Newly formed companies often do not worry about having an agreement in place, optimism is high and everyone is getting along well. Funds can be tight so making formal arrangements is sometimes seen as an unnecessary expense. It is only as the company grows and matures that problems can arise.”

Lucy regularly advices clients on shareholder and partnership agreements and would be happy to discuss formalising your business’s terms.

Refreshments will be served and goody bags provided. To register for the event please email Lucy on lgannon@maxwellmaclaurin.co.uk.
