STRENGTHENING THE FAMILY
July 2009

Maxwell MacLaurin has strengthened its family team with the promotion of two members of staff.

Karen Gailey becomes a Senior Associate and Alison McKee becomes an Associate.

Both key players in the team which is headed up by Partner Alasdair Docwra, Karen joined the firm four years ago and Alison joined in 2003. Both are accredited specialists in Family Law and Family and Child Law respectively.

Commenting on their promotion Managing Partner, Peter Duff said, “Both Karen and Alison have been instrumental in the continued growth of the family team. They are extremely respected amongst their clients and colleagues alike and their promotion is a natural progression of their already successful careers.”

The family law team was set up in 2003 and since then has grown year on year. Specialist advice is offered on all aspects of family law and the firm is one of only a small number of Scottish firms able to offer the collaborative law procedure as an alternative to traditional dispute resolution.
